Lauren practices in our firm’s humanitarian and family-based immigration departments. She primarily represents victims of crimes and their qualifying family members in obtaining immigration status or other benefits through U visa petitions or VAWA self-petitions, and also represents clients in renewing their DACA applications. She guides clients through all aspects of these cases: requesting I-918 Supplement B certifications from local law enforcement, filing nonimmigrant petitions, completing consular processing for family members abroad, and applying for residency. Under the DACA program, Lauren also helped over one thousand “dreamers” petition for deferred action and work authorization.
Lauren graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2010 and valedictorian from Centre College in 2007 with a B.A. in Government and Spanish. While in law school, she worked in the immigration department at the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic and won the 2009 Papke Prize for best student law review note in the Indiana Law Review. Lauren is a native of Southport, Indiana and lives in the greater Indianapolis area with her husband, two children, and their furry beagle.
