James, a native Hoosier, graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2004 with a B.A. in History. Passionate about reading, writing, critical thinking, and people skills, he also obtained minors in Philosophy, English, and Psychology while at Tulane. He fell in love with the food, music, architecture, culture, and history of the Crescent City, and enjoys frequent return visits. After graduation, James returned to his native Indianapolis to attend law school at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2008.
James began his career in the business world, working for companies in the home warranty, home inspection, and automotive finance industries in the greater Indianapolis area. However, in early 2017, he heeded a calling and passion he felt deeply to find more meaningful work helping people through the practice of law. James is driven to serve and assist the immigrant clients of Gresk & Singleton as they navigate the often emotional and complicated issues presented in the immigration or criminal justice systems.
During his free time he enjoys traveling, exercising, attending concerts, and improving his Spanish speaking skills. He currently serves as a Board Member for the Central Indiana Friends of Jung, as well as a Volunteer for the Indiana Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program.
James joined the Gresk & Singleton team in July of 2019, and is excited to serve our clientele on cases ranging from Immigration, Criminal Defense, Family Law, and Bankruptcy.
